List your roles and the tasks or decisions that keep landing on you. Get a first draft of who is Responsible, Accountable, Consulted and Informed, see where it breaks the rules, and take it away as a PDF, CSV or text.

Add tasks on the left and they appear here.
Powered by EXIUSSA RACI matrix is a table that assigns each task or decision to roles: Responsible (does the work), Accountable (owns the outcome and signs off), Consulted (gives input before) and Informed (told afterwards).
Yes. RACI chart, RACI matrix and responsibility assignment matrix are different names for the same table.
Take the task "Approve a refund". The support agent is Responsible (does the work), the support manager is Accountable (signs off, and is the only one), the finance lead is Consulted when the amount is large, and the customer success team is Informed afterwards. The "Fill with an example" button in this template loads a full worked example you can edit.
List the tasks or decisions in rows and the roles in columns. For each task mark who is Responsible and put exactly one Accountable owner on it, then add Consulted and Informed only where they are needed. This generator drafts the first version from your roles and tasks and flags where it breaks the rules, for example a task with no Accountable owner or with two.
A RACI shows who may decide and who only gives input. When every decision still lands on the founder, the matrix makes that visible, and the decision-rights section helps you move decisions to the people who should own them.
Yes. It is free to use, and you can download the result as a PDF, CSV or Markdown.
